Can't believe our little girl turns 7 today.Wahoo Alyse!!! 7 years ago today I work up early round 5-ooam to find my waters had broken, 18 days early, that's our girl! Unlike me my bags weren't packed nor was I ready to go to Hospital. In the middle of constractions I was ironing clothes while Kevin was looking for names for a boy over the internet . He was yelling them out to me as I packed. We had our girls name picked a couple of months before...

The day went well and I can honestly say the delivery went really well. Not to painful really except for those last couple of pushes. I think I had prayed so hard that I could get through it I was exspecting so much worse.

Alyse has given us so much joy and challenges as parents. She has alot of strong character trates that will be great for her when she is an adult. For now though not so great. God has created her just perfect so our hope as parents is that we don't stuff that up! LOL LOL LOL LOL.

I've never seen her sooooo excited before. We gave her her big pressie early as Daddy is away for her birthday working at Airlie Beach, the Whitsundays. A nintendo DS you would have thought we gave her a milllion dollars. She loves it and plays with it every day.

It's the first time Kev's been away for her birthday, a little sad for him and her. We will make the best of today, church, lunch at her fav restaurant and then a play centre for the arvo with yummy cake!

We love you Alyse, you are more precious than Rubies!!!!!

Well it's been a huge week for Kevin this week. His big boy has become a man and moved out of home to live with his friends. What a huge change! I can't believe he's only paying $70 a week, for food, board and electricity...How cheap is that! It's a big change and we wish him all the very best.

Alyse spoke to him on the phone and she thought that meant she wouldn't see him again. Yes there where tears, not only from Alyse, daddy too... Anthony reassured her, Alyse told him she loved him and he said "I love you too leesy". Gotta love big brothers.

Kimberley doesn't seem to be missing him too much, I can't understand it really.Ohhhh, hang on a minute, yes I do, I was having a momentary lack of memory it's all coming back to me now. I too had a big bro and I remember too well.

The good thing is hopefully in a few more years they to will learn to appreciate each other as adults, and become friends.

Gotta love Family!

Southbank and CIty Cats

The girls had a great day out with DADDY. They started with a surprise City Cat ride, then off to Southbank Movies to see Monsters VS Aliens, which they loved. They then had lunch at daddy's favourite chippy shop and took in the sites of Southbank. It was then time to go home on the city cat and Daddy had 2 tired little girls.

The girls really love this special time with their dad. Once a week they go out for some quality one on one time with their DAD. Kev loves it too. Smoothies and sushi are the order of the day at the moment.

Good on ya KEV! xx

SING LOUD AND PROUD

Alyse joined the school choir for Preps to Yr 3's at the beginning of term 1. They had there first performance and she was sooo excited. There was about 50 kids in the choir and they sang"On top of Spaghetti" and "I'm a real cool cat". She sang her little heart out, It was a very proud moment. She loves to sing and perform, we will have to wait and see what she does with that.

While the kids sat through parade Alyse was smiling and laughing so much it was infectious. I was laughing with her so much I was crying. She was sitting on stage giving me the "I Love You Signal" we have. It was very special.

NEEDLES!

Brooke had her 4 year old needles today. She was so brave. I didn't tell her it was coming and the doctor was so good. He hates giving needles to kids, but he made up a story for her. He told her that the school said she wouldn't be able to come next year if she didn't have them.(He was happy to blame the school).

She cried with the first and the second went on forever and of course she cried however I think the 2 jelly beans helped. Alyse and Brooke are sooooo different in nature. I remember we told Alyse about the needles the day before just to get her used to it, cause we new she would have, how can I so this, a fit. We even bribed her with getting her ears pierced if she was a very brave girl. No tears from Alyse! She wanted those earings sooooo badly. Thank goodness for the gel they put on to stop the OUCH! Funny how you can see parts of Kev and My personalities in our gorgeous girls.

I love our girls to bits !!!!!!

4 Years old!

I can't believe our baby girl is now 4 and is on her way to prep next year. I keep watching her and she does not quite seem ready so hopefully the next 9 months will see her grow and change alot!

We had a fantastic time for her birthday with all her favourite friends there, Kahlia, Chelsea and Jessica. Her Big cousins and little ones were there as well. All our friends and family helped to make the day a great one as we partied on all weekend long.

First there was Linda's Birthday on Saturday. Breaky out with all our friends and family and then the girls went out for coffee and a catch-up which Linda really enjoyed. You don't get time for that very often when you have Kids.

Sunday came and it was Brookes turn, all those lovely pressies, her favourite being her leapstar, she really loves it.

FUN AWAY AT HERVEY BAY

Well we did our first of many to come family trips away. Now that Brooke has out grown the carsickness thing, finally, we can head of on a few adventures. Last time Kev and I stayed at Hervey Bay was before we went to Kingfisher Island for part of our honeymoon nearly 10 years ago. It has changed alot since then, way more shops and housing, but still a quiete place with not much to do.

The kids enjoyed swimming in the pool and seeing the ducks, geese and turtles in the lake outside our room. Makes the room sound lovely doesn't it, well it wasn't, it was very scary. However the girls had a great time away and we had great family time together, which at the end of the day is the most important thing.

God Is Good !

We have gone through the waiting game of finding out if Alyse is changing classes at school. We love her teacher. She is so personable, friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble. She speaks LIFE over the kids and we Love that. We are hoping for a great year this year for Alyse.

We were praying really hard about this knowing full well that God knows whats best for our precious girl.

Another test of faith, trust and relying on God for his best for our family.Trusting in Him is the absolute best thing you can do for our family, he'll never let you down.

Wellington Point.

We had a great day with Aunty Susan, Chloe, Josh grandma sue and grandad Kevin at Wellington Point. We went walking to the Island but decided it was too far so we had a swim instead. Anthony found a crab but it was already dead Alyse thought we could still eat it for dinner, Not likely.

It was a fun day and great to catch up with the family and our little cousins. Chloe and Josh are sooo cute. Brooke wants to know when is Chloe going to be big like her and be able to talk?

Our girls love to talk something that I'm sure will servie them well when they are older but right now I think others may finds it a little annoying.

We love our girls!

Can you believe a whole year has flown by. Goodbye Prep Hello Year 1.
Alyse has a fantastic teacher we really LOVE her and we hope Alyse will keep her. Waiting to see class numbers and she may have to go to a new class as they've had lots of new enrolments this year. Praying that doesn't happen. I think we had our bad year last year, Surely!!!

Anyway some exciting news we had our first lot of Homework(I know I'm Sad aren't I?) and first readers. Alyse actually read a whole sentence(from Memory I think). We were so excited!!! She wants to read so badly and has started that whole comparing herself to others, not good hey! Now there's a life lesson I hope to be able to teach her about. Trust me it's so not worth it!

Brooke has started in the Pre-school room at childcare and is loving it! She is missing her precious friend Kahlia who has had a serious accident and has been in hospital for 1 1/2 weeks. Get better and come back soon Kahlia!!

Kimberley is starting Year 9 can you beleive she is nearly 15 and will start working at Maccas in April. Imagine that kimmi and Ant working together and he could be her trainer should be interesting....

Anthony is starting a pre-apprenticeship course in March and is hoping to gain an apprenticeship as a carpenter come August/September. You wouldn't recognise him now. He's taller than Kev with bright Blonde hair thanks to his Cousin. He's working hard at Maccas as a Crew Trainer and loves it.
This is our first of many blogs to come. Just learning but will hopefully become more proficient as time goes on. I wanted to start this to keep you all informed of what were up to and especially for our family in the U.K. WE MISS YOU GUYS!!! Love to you all.

Alyse's 6th Birthday

It was an amazing week. Kev graduated as a Paramedic, my work moved and Alyse turned 6. What a great night we had with family and friends and hasn't our girl grown up! I got a huge surprise that night. I've always joked with Kev that when he finished his degree and when he graduated that I should get something too! Afterall it has been 7 long years. Well he surprised me with a diamond ring and earrings and even gave a little speech with our closest friends and family. He got lots of deposits in my love bank for that one!.
